There have been a number of hypotheses regarding the NEW Indian cricket team coach. This post is speculated to be handed over to a new individual after the 2024 World T20 championship.
Gautam Gambhir has been considered the best contender for the position. On a recent visit to UAE, he interacted with students at Medeor Hospital and was asked a few questions.
One of the students asked him about the new position. To that question, he answered that it would be an honor to coach the Indian cricket team. He said that India could win the World Cup if 150 crore people prayed for the team and supported them. He then said that there are a number of things that he takes care of during the leadership of a team.
Regarding his win in the recently concluded Indian Premier League tournament, he said that he to care of the dressing room. If the players have a great mindset and as a result, it will be converted into a winning dressing room.
Currently, he is the successful coach of the Indian Premier League tournament. He has been able to return back to the KKR camp with a commendable win. In the past, he has been one of the key players in the Indian team. He played an essential role in the conquest of the Indian cricket team. It was during the 2007 and 2011 World Cup triumphs. So, it will be intriguing to see his appointment as the head coach.
For a long time, it has been a whisper that he will be the new coach. However, there have been no directives from the officials. So, it is not assured news. For that, we will have to stay patient till the conclusion of the World Cup.
Until the conclusion of the World Cup, Dravid is the head coach. During his term, he coached India to the finals of the ODI World Cup in 2023. However, India lost the final to Australia. In the test championship also, India was able to get to the finals. However, they again lost the finals to Australia.
In all of these wins, Pat Cummins has been one of the prosperous captains of the Australian cricket team. In the IPL 2024 also, he was the captain of the Hyderabad team. It was able to reach the final against Kolkata. He is also a part of Australia’s T20 World Cup squad.
